Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular assessments and feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science Department to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular science activities and events.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and continuously improve teaching practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in teaching Chemistry at secondary level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong focus on academic achievement and extra-curricular enrichment.
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
