The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a dynamic academic team. This role offers the chance to teach at IGCSE and IB Diploma levels, with the potential for Second in Department responsibility. The successful candidate will be part of a supportive environment committed to student success and academic innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Chemistry and another science at IGCSE and IB Diploma levels.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that align with the English National Curriculum and IB standards.
- Support students in achieving excellent examination results at IGCSE and IB levels.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the science curriculum.
- Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and pedagogical approaches.
- Engage in professional development opportunities within the school and wider education sector.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good honours degree in Chemistry or Science with Chemistry.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for secondary education.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK secondary school.
- Proven success with IGCSE and IB exam results.
- Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
Preferred
- Experience in an international school setting.
- Right to work in the EU.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
