The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced MYP Secondary Physical Education Teacher to join its expanding team. This role offers the chance to shape a new international school community, delivering innovative and student-centred learning in a supportive and values-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, concept-driven Health & Physical Education lessons aligned with the school’s educational philosophy.
  • Design learning experiences that promote physical literacy, health, and wellbeing, while connecting movement and health to real-world contexts.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, including inquiry, project-based learning, and outdoor education, to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across subjects to develop interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Support student character development by integrating the school’s guiding principles into daily teaching practices.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that encourages student voice and personal growth.
  • Manage student data and assessments to support learning progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a robust sports program and coach student teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Secondary Education with a specialism in Physical & Health Education.
  • At least 2–3 years of teaching experience in secondary education, preferably within the IB MYP.
  • Strong knowledge of teaching, learning, and assessment practices.
  • Proficiency in English.

Preferred

  • Experience with IBDP Sports, Exercise and Health Science courses.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Swedish, or German.
  • Experience with modern teaching technologies, such as AI-powered tools and adaptive learning platforms.
  • A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
