Children's Play Therapist needed at a school specializing in SEMH and ASD support.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Children's Play Therapist to support students with emotional and behavioural challenges through one-to-one and group therapy sessions. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one and group play/creative therapy sessions to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 20 hours of clinical work per week
- Work closely with the school SENCo and Multi Disciplinary Team to take referrals and provide support
- Support students with concerns about their emotional wellbeing
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a holistic approach to student care
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant qualification in Play Therapy such as Drama, Music, Art, Play, or Dance Therapy
- Experience working with children with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
- Registration with HCPC, UKCP, or BACP
- Full driving licence
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of working with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Experience in group therapy or creative arts therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and term time only
