Key Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in delivering lessons and preparing engaging learning materials.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including marking and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams to ensure a holistic approach to student care and development.
- Implement strategies to promote social, emotional, and mental health well-being among students.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety standards.
- Deliver a flexible curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
- Provide leadership and professional guidance to support staff and students.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE grade 4 (or equivalent) in both Maths and English.
- Commitment to working with students with SEMH and autism.
- Experience or willingness to obtain a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification.
- Valid driving licence.
Preferred
- Knowledge of autism and strategies for teaching students with SEMH.
- Experience in safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience in therapeutic education provision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
