Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and imaginative Classics lessons that develop students' analytical and linguistic skills
  • Foster a love of the classical world through creative and stimulating teaching methods
  • Assess student work with good judgment and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain a well-ordered and motivating classroom environment

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ability to deliver Classics in an ordered and imaginative way
  • Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas clearly
  • Good judgment in assessing student work and classroom management
  • Strong organisational skills and punctuality
  • Experience working effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at a secondary level
  • Knowledge of classical languages and cultures
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Strong understanding of student-centered learning approaches
  • Experience with inclusive education practices
