The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that align with the Jersey Curriculum and promote computational literacy.
  • Support students in building problem-solving, critical thinking, and digital creativity skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to innovate and enhance the teaching of ICT and Computer Science.
  • Stay current with technological advancements and incorporate them into teaching practice.
  • Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students, contributing to their overall development.
  • Participate in school events, professional development, and co-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience in Computer Science.
  • Strong classroom management and teaching skills.
  • Commitment to student development and pastoral care.
  • Experience with the Jersey Curriculum or equivalent educational framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching ICT and digital innovation.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and computational thinking.
  • Background in curriculum development or educational leadership.
  • Experience with international or diverse student populations.
  • Passion for digital education and technology integration in the classroom.
