The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, student-centred computing lessons that align with the school's educational goals.
  • Use up-to-date resources and teaching methods to ensure an enjoyable and enriching learning experience.
  • Complete student reports and provide regular feedback to support individual progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the summer school curriculum.
  • Participate in excursions and activities that complement the academic program.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment.
  • Stay current with developments in computing education and technology.
  • Contribute to the overall summer school experience through additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven teaching experience in computing or a related field.
  • Strong ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in creating and delivering interactive and student-centred lessons.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values of character education and inclusivity.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students aged 8-16 in a summer school or similar setting.
  • Familiarity with teaching English as a second language.
  • Experience with programming, digital literacy, or IT-related subjects.
  • Background in outdoor or experiential learning.
