The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Computing lessons across Key Stages 3-5, with an emphasis on developing students’ skills and knowledge.
- Support the department in maintaining and improving the high standards of achievement in Computing qualifications.
- Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental planning and curriculum design.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
- Provide individualised support and feedback to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate relevant technologies into teaching.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to promote Computing and digital literacy.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience in teaching Computing at Key Stages 3-4
- Commitment to developing teaching experience at Key Stage 5
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Computer Science
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative computing curricula
- Experience with pastoral care and student support
