The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Computing lessons across Key Stages 3-5, with an emphasis on developing students’ skills and knowledge.
  • Support the department in maintaining and improving the high standards of achievement in Computing qualifications.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to departmental planning and curriculum design.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices.
  • Provide individualised support and feedback to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and integrate relevant technologies into teaching.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to promote Computing and digital literacy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in teaching Computing at Key Stages 3-4
  • Commitment to developing teaching experience at Key Stage 5
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Computer Science
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools
  • Experience in developing and delivering innovative computing curricula
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support
