The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to ensure the continuity of high-quality learning. This role plays a key part in maintaining standards and supporting students during teacher absences. It is a part-time position, offering flexibility and a supportive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across all year groups during teacher absences.
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and values.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with subject leaders and teaching staff to ensure consistency in delivery.
- Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour during cover sessions.
- Adhere to the school’s policies and procedures at all times.
- Provide regular feedback to the relevant teaching staff following cover sessions.
- Assist with administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant teaching or educational experience.
- Experience in delivering lessons across multiple year groups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
- Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a Christian ethos.
- Experience in delivering cover sessions in a variety of subjects.
- Experience in a school with a focus on character development and behaviour.
- Experience in a multi-age or All Age Academy setting.
