The Opportunity:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality lessons and support colleagues and students across the academy. This is a dynamic role that offers opportunities for professional development and collaboration within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects.
- Provide cover for absent staff in a flexible and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Principal and other Cover Supervisors to maintain learning standards.
- Engage with students and colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency in learning.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and staff training initiatives.
- Contribute to the school’s improvement plan and support the achievement of all students.
- Maintain a positive and respectful working relationship with all members of the school community.
- Assist in the implementation of pastoral and academic support strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A good educational background, including GCSE equivalent or above.
- Willingness to engage in further professional development.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently.
- Commitment to student achievement and school improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or education support roles.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning.
- Strong interpersonal and team-working abilities.
