The Opportunity:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will support teaching and learning across a range of subjects, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the classroom teacher. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Deliver and support cover work across a range of subjects.
- Ensure lesson outcomes are achieved and students understand the value of their education.
- Build strong, positive relationships with faculty leaders, senior leadership team and pastoral staff.
- Work collaboratively with subject specialists and support the school’s mission and values.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with students, families and colleagues.
- Use data and information systems to support effective cover provision.
- Follow and implement school policies and procedures consistently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Education to A Level or Degree Level.
- Experience working in schools or with young people.
- Administrative experience and the ability to use data systems, spreadsheets and word processing software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to understand, interpret and follow systems, policies and procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in a school setting, whether through teaching, mentoring or youth work.
- Experience with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
- Experience with continuing professional development (CPD) and reflective practice.
