The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join our team. This role will primarily involve teaching Years 7 and 8, with the potential to work with younger pupils. The position is part-time, with opportunities for expansion based on the candidate's willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons to Years 7 and 8 pupils.
  • Support and assist in teaching younger pupils where required.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum.
  • Promote creativity, innovation, and practical skills in students.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Participate in wider school activities and events as appropriate.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in Design & Technology or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching or a willingness to pursue a teaching career.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and manage a part-time schedule.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with UK National Curriculum standards.
  • Experience with teaching younger children.
  • Additional subject knowledge or teaching experience.
