The Opportunity:
Join a vibrant and innovative arts centre as a Creative Graduate Placement, where you will support students in exploring art, design, textiles, and photography. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable teaching experience, and contribute to a dynamic and creative learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in creative subjects through teaching, coaching, and mentoring
- Provide technical assistance in design, fine art, photography, and textiles
- Deliver workshops and sessions focused on your area of specialism
- Assist with pastoral duties within the boarding houses
- Participate in the school’s sports programme where appropriate
- Collaborate with experienced teachers and technicians to enhance student learning
- Contribute to the development of creative projects and events
- Engage in team teaching and support the delivery of creative curriculum
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A graduate degree in Design (Product / Industrial Design), Fine Art, Photography, or Fashion/Textiles
- Enthusiasm for creative work and a willingness to support students
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on pastoral responsibilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or mentoring
- Knowledge of creative technologies and software
- Experience with pastoral care in a school or boarding environment
- Familiarity with the arts and creative industries
- Flexibility to work within a boarding school community
