The Opportunity:

Join a vibrant and innovative arts centre as a Creative Graduate Placement, where you will support students in exploring art, design, textiles, and photography. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills, gain valuable teaching experience, and contribute to a dynamic and creative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in creative subjects through teaching, coaching, and mentoring
  • Provide technical assistance in design, fine art, photography, and textiles
  • Deliver workshops and sessions focused on your area of specialism
  • Assist with pastoral duties within the boarding houses
  • Participate in the school’s sports programme where appropriate
  • Collaborate with experienced teachers and technicians to enhance student learning
  • Contribute to the development of creative projects and events
  • Engage in team teaching and support the delivery of creative curriculum

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A graduate degree in Design (Product / Industrial Design), Fine Art, Photography, or Fashion/Textiles
  • Enthusiasm for creative work and a willingness to support students
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and take on pastoral responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or mentoring
  • Knowledge of creative technologies and software
  • Experience with pastoral care in a school or boarding environment
  • Familiarity with the arts and creative industries
  • Flexibility to work within a boarding school community
