The Opportunity:
As a Creative Psychotherapist, you will deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex communication needs, autism, and associated learning and emotional needs. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, therapeutic support that enhances student well-being and empowers them to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized assessment and intervention plans tailored to student needs.
- Deliver trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming therapy to support students' emotional and psychological well-being.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to enhance service delivery and provide training to staff and parents.
- Prepare detailed clinical reports and documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and health of students in daily life through consistent therapeutic support.
- Participate in multi-professional team meetings and contribute to the development of clinical strategies.
- Maintain high standards of professional practice and continuing development within the role.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Appropriate psychotherapeutic qualification.
- Registration with one or more of the following bodies: HCPC, BACP, BABCP, PTUK, NCPC, UKCP.
- Experience working with neurodivergent individuals and those with complex needs, including trauma and mental health.
- Ability to work independently under supervision and as part of a multi-professional team.
- Strong report-writing skills related to clinical and research activities.
- Full valid UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people.
- Background in special needs education or mental health support.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and student well-being.
