The Opportunity:

As a Curriculum Manager - Hair & Beauty, you will play a key role in shaping the future of beauty education. You will work closely with teaching staff and industry professionals to create relevant and up-to-date curriculum content that prepares students for successful careers in the beauty industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality curriculum content in line with industry standards and educational frameworks.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and industry professionals to ensure programs remain current and relevant.
  • Support continuous improvement in teaching and learning standards, student retention, and achievement.
  • Conduct classroom observations of full and part-time staff to provide feedback and support professional development.
  • Manage the appraisal and line management of part-time and fractional staff in accordance with college policies.
  • Liaise with employers to ensure curriculum content aligns with industry needs and employment opportunities.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of substantial programs within the curriculum area, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of college quality systems and standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Degree or equivalent level qualification in a related subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience of successful teaching across a range of programs.
  • Experience of liaising with employers and managing substantial programs relevant to the curriculum area for at least 2 years.

Preferred

  • Experience in the hair and beauty sector or related industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and industry professionals.
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
