The Opportunity:
As a Curriculum Manager - Hair & Beauty, you will play a key role in shaping the future of beauty education. You will work closely with teaching staff and industry professionals to create relevant and up-to-date curriculum content that prepares students for successful careers in the beauty industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement high-quality curriculum content in line with industry standards and educational frameworks.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and industry professionals to ensure programs remain current and relevant.
- Support continuous improvement in teaching and learning standards, student retention, and achievement.
- Conduct classroom observations of full and part-time staff to provide feedback and support professional development.
- Manage the appraisal and line management of part-time and fractional staff in accordance with college policies.
- Liaise with employers to ensure curriculum content aligns with industry needs and employment opportunities.
- Oversee the successful delivery of substantial programs within the curriculum area, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of college quality systems and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Degree or equivalent level qualification in a related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of successful teaching across a range of programs.
- Experience of liaising with employers and managing substantial programs relevant to the curriculum area for at least 2 years.
Preferred
- Experience in the hair and beauty sector or related industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and industry professionals.
- Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
