The Opportunity:

As Deputy Director of Estates Management, you will support the strategic leadership and operational management of a multi-site educational trust. This role is vital in ensuring all academies have safe, compliant, and high-quality learning environments that support outstanding education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional estates advice and support across the trust.
  • Deliver strategic priorities including asset management, sustainability, compliance, and estates performance.
  • Work closely with academy leaders and site teams to ensure effective estate management.
  • Oversee estates systems, processes, and contracts for accurate record-keeping and maintenance planning.
  • Support the Director of Estates Management in strategic development and deputise where required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Significant experience in estates, facilities, or asset management.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance.
  • Experience managing projects, contractors, and estates services.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work strategically while maintaining an operational focus.
  • Willingness to travel across multiple sites.

Preferred

  • Experience in a complex or multi-site organisation.
  • Background in education or public sector estates management.
  • Demonstrated success in sustainability initiatives and compliance monitoring.
