The Opportunity:
As Deputy Head Teacher of the Preparatory School, you will play a vital role in leading and managing the academic and pastoral needs of students from Reception to Year 6. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Preparatory School, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise attainment and support student progress.
- Oversee pastoral care and ensure a supportive environment for all students.
- Work closely with the Headmaster and Governing Body to align school initiatives with the overall mission and vision.
- Motivate and inspire staff, students, and parents to achieve shared goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department and provide strategic direction.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Support the development of innovative learning and extracurricular programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a Preparatory School setting.
- Demonstrable track record of raising attainment and improving student outcomes.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to the school’s mission of inspiring growth in mind, body, and spirit.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
- Background in curriculum development and innovation.
- Familiarity with early years education.
- Experience in managing large teams and complex school operations.
