The Opportunity:

As Deputy Head Teacher of the Preparatory School, you will play a vital role in leading and managing the academic and pastoral needs of students from Reception to Year 6. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Preparatory School, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement strategies to raise attainment and support student progress.
  • Oversee pastoral care and ensure a supportive environment for all students.
  • Work closely with the Headmaster and Governing Body to align school initiatives with the overall mission and vision.
  • Motivate and inspire staff, students, and parents to achieve shared goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the department and provide strategic direction.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Support the development of innovative learning and extracurricular programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a Preparatory School setting.
  • Demonstrable track record of raising attainment and improving student outcomes.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission of inspiring growth in mind, body, and spirit.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.
