As a Physical Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping students' physical and personal development. You will deliver high-quality PE and GCSE lessons, coach team sports, and contribute to the school’s vibrant co-curricular activities. This role offers the chance to be part of an all-through school, with potential teaching responsibilities across Nursery to Year 6.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Physical Education lessons to students of all ages.
  • Coach a range of team sports and lead away fixtures and competitions.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Support the development of students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of lessons that align with the school’s educational goals.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in PE and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in teaching Physical Education and GCSE-level PE.
  • Confidence in coaching team sports and leading competitions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values.

Preferred

  • Experience working in an all-through school setting.
  • Background in coaching or leading extracurricular sports teams.
  • Experience with Nursery to Year 6 teaching.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
