Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the development of teaching and learning across the school.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher to implement the school’s vision and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Provide professional development and mentorship to staff.
  • Manage and lead key projects that contribute to school improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and external partners.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and effective teaching practices.
  • Experience in school improvement and raising standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with service children and military families.
  • Background in leading whole-school initiatives or improvement projects.
  • Experience in data analysis and using evidence-based practice to inform decision-making.
  • A track record of fostering a positive school culture and staff morale.
