The Opportunity:
As Deputy Headteacher - Pastoral Care, you will play a key role in shaping a positive and supportive school culture. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure the school continues to thrive and deliver outstanding outcomes for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the pastoral care strategy to ensure the well-being and academic success of all students.
- Support the Headteacher in managing day-to-day operations and driving school improvement.
- Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
- Promote a culture of high expectations, creativity, and innovation across the school.
- Oversee the implementation of the school’s vision and values in all aspects of student care and development.
- Provide guidance and support to teaching and support staff to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Ensure that the school’s pastoral systems are effective, responsive, and aligned with the Trust’s goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership teams across the Trust to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in senior leadership within education, ideally in a school or academy setting.
- A strong track record as an outstanding teacher with high expectations for student achievement.
- Demonstrated commitment to student well-being, creativity, and personal development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Experience in curriculum development and the ability to lead and inspire others.
- A reflective approach to professional practice with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral care leadership or a similar role.
- Familiarity with working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational partnership.
- Experience with global educational partnerships or international collaboration.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to work collaboratively at all levels.
