Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the hockey programme across all age groups.
- Lead and manage a coaching team to ensure continued success and growth in competitive fixtures.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of training sessions, competitions, and fixtures throughout the academic year.
- Promote inclusivity and high participation in hockey across the school community.
- Monitor and report on the performance of teams, ensuring alignment with the school’s sporting goals.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sport to integrate hockey into the broader co-curricular and sporting strategy.
- Support the development of junior players through structured training and competitive pathways.
- Ensure the programme maintains a strong presence in regional and national competitions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a sports coaching or management role.
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading high-performance hockey teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- Experience in managing large-scale sporting programmes with multiple teams and age groups.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and inclusivity.
Preferred
- Experience in working within a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of national and regional hockey competitions and pathways.
- Familiarity with youth development and coaching best practices.
