As a Design Teacher MYP, you will deliver high-quality, IB-aligned instruction that empowers students to think critically and creatively. This role is ideal for a passionate designer, artist, or technologist who can contribute to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
- Assess student performance using IB standards and provide actionable feedback.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
- Collaborate with the Student Support team to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Work with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Utilize IT and AI tools effectively to support student learning and academic integrity.
- Communicate regularly with parents through digital platforms.
- Engage with the school and local community to promote the school’s mission and values.
- Participate in professional development and school meetings throughout the year.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Degree and/or teaching qualifications recognized by the State of Thüringia.
- Experience in teaching and a clear understanding of the responsibilities of the role.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Familiarity with the IB curriculum, particularly the MYP.
- A portfolio demonstrating continuing professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in design thinking or interdisciplinary teaching.
- Knowledge of digital tools and AI in education.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Background in collaboration with local universities or educational institutions.
