The Opportunity:

As a Design Teacher MYP, you will deliver high-quality, IB-aligned instruction that empowers students to think critically and creatively. This role is ideal for a passionate designer, artist, or technologist who can contribute to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
  • Assess student performance using IB standards and provide actionable feedback.
  • Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Student Support team to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Work with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Utilize IT and AI tools effectively to support student learning and academic integrity.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through digital platforms.
  • Engage with the school and local community to promote the school’s mission and values.
  • Participate in professional development and school meetings throughout the year.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Degree and/or teaching qualifications recognized by the State of Thüringia.
  • Experience in teaching and a clear understanding of the responsibilities of the role.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Familiarity with the IB curriculum, particularly the MYP.
  • A portfolio demonstrating continuing professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience in design thinking or interdisciplinary teaching.
  • Knowledge of digital tools and AI in education.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Background in collaboration with local universities or educational institutions.
