Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning policies.
- Use performance data to inform teaching strategies and support student progress.
- Set and mark home learning in accordance with school policies, providing constructive feedback.
- Engage with parents and carers to communicate student progress and development.
- Participate in school events, including Open Evenings and Parents’ Evenings.
- Contribute to departmental meetings and support the continuous improvement of the Design Technology curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and ensure effective use of materials and equipment.
- Support students in developing the skills and knowledge needed for future success in Design Technology and related fields.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design Technology.
- Experience in teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies and behaviour management.
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in Design Technology.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design tools and software.
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental improvement initiatives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
