Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership for the boarding programme, aligning with the school’s mission and long-term goals.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive residential programme integrating academic support, wellbeing, and life skills development.
  • Oversee the operational management of the boarding house, including accommodation, catering, health, and safety.
  • Ensure the implementation of robust systems and structures in line with international best practices.
  • Lead and uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection, and pastoral care.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing boarding team with a focus on care, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Deliver a rich and engaging boarding experience through structured evening and weekend programmes.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, acting as the senior point of contact for all boarding-related matters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Education, Psychology, Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years’ experience in residential school environments, with at least 3–5 years in a senior boarding leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing boarding houses or residential programmes.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in international, multicultural, or high-expectation school environments.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams in a 24/7 residential setting.
  • Experience working in premium independent schools or international boarding environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive commitment to student wellbeing and safeguarding.
