The Opportunity:

As the Director of Campus Operations, you will lead the Operations Division and play a pivotal role in shaping the student and staff experience. This is a leadership position that drives continuous improvement and ensures all programs and events reflect the school’s high standards and shared values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Operations Division, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and processes across departments.
  • Oversee daily operations and provide accountability for all divisional activities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on critical processes, including workforce planning and performance management.
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to manage the divisional operating budget and capital projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Champion a "safety-first" culture and lead emergency response planning and execution.
  • Build strong relationships with the school community and external partners, including local law enforcement and public services.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an operations or related position, with at least 5 years of senior leadership experience in a non-unionized workplace.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and solve complex problems effectively.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in managing buildings, facilities, and construction projects.
  • Experience managing significant operating budgets and collaborating with finance teams on capital planning.
  • Solid understanding of workplace compliance, including OHS regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Google Workplace tools (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding school or educational institution setting.
  • Background in emergency response planning and crisis management.
  • Experience with risk management and safety compliance initiatives.
  • Strong track record in fostering collaboration and innovation across departments.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual salary range of $140,000 - $170,000.
