The Opportunity:
As the Director of Learning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of students across all divisions. You will lead curriculum development, support teacher growth, and ensure alignment with the school’s mission and accreditation standards. This is a leadership position that impacts the quality of teaching and learning throughout the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee curriculum development, assessment practices, and professional learning across the school.
- Lead and support Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to enhance instructional practices and student achievement.
- Manage teacher and staff professional development planning, budgets, and compliance requirements.
- Supervise curriculum mapping processes and ensure alignment across divisions and departments.
- Analyze and report on schoolwide assessment data to inform instruction and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Support the school improvement process and accreditation efforts, including ACSI/WASC standards.
- Supervise and mentor curriculum coordinators to ensure consistency in teaching and learning practices.
- Serve in key leadership roles such as MAP Coordinator, AP Coordinator, and SevenStar Coordinator as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Advanced degree and administrator certification.
- Minimum of five years of classroom teaching experience.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to a Christ-centered educational philosophy.
Preferred
- Experience with professional learning communities and data-driven instruction.
- Familiarity with Curriculum Trak and other curriculum mapping tools.
- Experience in school improvement and accreditation processes.
- Background in Bible-based education and evangelism.
