As the Director of Sport and Health, you will lead and develop the PE department to become a key strength of the school. This role is ideal for a passionate and inspiring leader who is committed to delivering high-quality sport and health education across all levels of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the PE curriculum to align with the school’s vision and mission
  • Inspire and motivate students through dynamic and engaging sports and health activities
  • Raise the profile of sport within the school and local community through competitions and events
  • Collaborate with external providers to enhance the quality of sports and health education
  • Stay up to date with current research and best practices in sport and health education
  • Implement a range of teaching methods, including inquiry and project-based learning
  • Support and develop the teaching team to achieve the highest standards in instruction
  • Prepare comprehensive student reports in line with school requirements
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports / Athletics
  • Qualified teaching status
  • Strong knowledge of teaching Sport and Health
  • Experience in classroom management
  • Understanding of teaching approaches that include feedback, reflection, and ATL skills
  • Basic French language skills

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a PE department
  • Experience with international curricula
  • Experience with EAL support strategies
  • Leadership and team development experience
