The Opportunity:

As an IBDP English Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a dynamic and internationally recognized curriculum that emphasizes conceptual learning through a variety of literary and non-literary texts. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare engaging learning activities aligned with curriculum objectives.
  • Implement inquiry-based, project-based, and problem-based learning strategies using appropriate technologies.
  • Foster student collaboration and individual learning strategies to develop critical thinking and creativity.
  • Evaluate student performance regularly and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Prepare detailed student reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the EAL department and other teachers to support interdisciplinary learning.
  • Comply with safeguarding policies and support students with individual learning needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English.
  • Qualified teaching certificate or license.
  • Experience teaching MYP, IGCSE, or IBDP curricula.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of teaching approaches that promote student reflection and ATL skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IBDP English A and B levels.
  • Background in inclusive education and student support.
  • Fluency in French or experience working with students learning English as an additional language.
