Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the sport department to maintain and enhance its exceptional reputation.
- Manage and support a team of outstanding teaching and coaching staff.
- Deliver a comprehensive and inclusive sports programme that promotes participation and excellence.
- Collaborate with the Rugby School Group to leverage shared resources and expertise.
- Ensure the school continues to receive recognition for its sporting achievements and facilities.
- Promote the school's sport scholars programme and support student development through sport.
- Oversee the planning and execution of sporting events, competitions, and training sessions.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate sport into the broader educational experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of sports coaching, curriculum development, and student welfare.
- Experience in managing and developing sports teams and programmes.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience working within a school group or multi-academy trust.
- Background in a co-educational environment.
- Experience with high-performance sport or elite athlete development.
- Familiarity with the Rugby School Group or similar educational institutions.
