Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of boarding staff to deliver an exceptional boarding experience.
- Ensure the well-being, safety, and academic progress of all boarders.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the school’s values and mission.
- Coordinate with academic and pastoral teams to support the holistic development of students.
- Oversee the maintenance and improvement of boarding facilities and services.
- Foster a strong sense of community among boarders, staff, and families.
- Represent the school at events and engage with parents and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of boarding programs and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a boarding school environment.
- Strong understanding of child development and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience in a co-educational setting.
Preferred
- Experience working within a school group or multi-academy trust.
- Background in a school that has undergone recent development or refurbishment.
- Familiarity with the Rugby School Group ethos and principles.
- Experience in a co-educational prep school setting.
