The Opportunity:
As the Director of Sport, you will lead and manage the school’s sport provision across all age groups, ensuring a dynamic and impactful programme. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of sport at the school and contribute to its continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive strategy for sport and physical education across the Prep and Senior schools.
- Supervise the delivery of the Physical Education curriculum and ensure high standards of teaching and student engagement.
- Recruit, manage, and allocate staff to optimise the delivery of sport provision.
- Support the Marketing and Admissions team by building relationships with feeder schools and managing outreach activities.
- Organise and manage tournaments, development days, and the sports scholarship pathway.
- Collaborate with the Director of Estates to plan and manage the development of sports facilities.
- Ensure effective communication with parents and internal stakeholders regarding fixtures and events.
- Manage the department’s budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent leadership and management experience.
- A clear vision for sport aligned with the school’s ethos and values.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
- Experience in a co-educational school environment, preferably boarding and day.
- High standards of performance and customer service in educational provision.
Preferred
- Personal understanding of sports performance at an elite level.
- Experience in developing and managing sport facilities.
- Demonstrated success in driving growth and development in sport provision.
