Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Drama teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Inspire students through creative drama productions, performances, and showcase events.
  • Contribute to the redesign and development of an enriching Drama curriculum.
  • Foster a love of learning and self-expression through performing arts.
  • Participate actively in extra-curricular activities, clubs, and productions.
  • Collaborate with other Performing Arts staff to enhance student experiences.
  • Support students in developing confidence, creativity, and cultural capital.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Drama education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage young people through Drama.
  • Experience in delivering curriculum content aligned with GCSE specifications.
  • Commitment to contributing to curriculum innovation and whole-school improvement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum redesign and development.
  • Background in extra-curricular activities or student leadership programs.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working with diverse student groups.
  • Passion for the transformative impact of the performing arts.
  • Experience in leading or contributing to school productions and events.
