The Opportunity:
A Drama Teacher is sought to inspire creativity, confidence, and collaboration in students across Cambridge KS2, KS3, and IGCSE. The role supports the school’s mission to develop well-rounded, internationally minded individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality drama lessons that foster self-expression and communication skills.
- Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that are inquiry-based, conceptually focused, and student-centered.
- Collaborate with the Learning Support Department to provide differentiated instruction for students with diverse needs.
- Promote international-mindedness and the school’s core values through the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Contribute to the school’s Experience program, enhancing student engagement and well-being.
- Manage student attendance, behavior, and communication with parents in line with school expectations.
- Prepare and assign homework and assessments on the school platform in a timely manner.
- Support students through pastoral care and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject area.
- Qualified teacher with experience in the appropriate age range and subject area.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging drama lessons and promote student well-being.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in an international or diverse educational setting.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred
- Experience with Cambridge KS2, KS3, and IGCSE curricula.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
- Strong IT and digital literacy skills.
- Experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language) support.
- Background in community engagement and co-curricular activities.
