The Opportunity:

A Drama Teacher is sought to inspire creativity, confidence, and collaboration in students across Cambridge KS2, KS3, and IGCSE. The role supports the school’s mission to develop well-rounded, internationally minded individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality drama lessons that foster self-expression and communication skills.
  • Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that are inquiry-based, conceptually focused, and student-centered.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Support Department to provide differentiated instruction for students with diverse needs.
  • Promote international-mindedness and the school’s core values through the curriculum and extracurricular activities.
  • Contribute to the school’s Experience program, enhancing student engagement and well-being.
  • Manage student attendance, behavior, and communication with parents in line with school expectations.
  • Prepare and assign homework and assessments on the school platform in a timely manner.
  • Support students through pastoral care and collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject area.
  • Qualified teacher with experience in the appropriate age range and subject area.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging drama lessons and promote student well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in an international or diverse educational setting.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred

  • Experience with Cambridge KS2, KS3, and IGCSE curricula.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
  • Strong IT and digital literacy skills.
  • Experience with EAL (English as an Additional Language) support.
  • Background in community engagement and co-curricular activities.
