Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging drama and theatre studies lessons aligned with Cambridge iGCSE, A-Level, and IB curricula.
  • Create innovative and inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and self-expression.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support initiatives.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, communication, and performance skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Participate in school events and contribute to the broader educational community.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students in line with the school’s safeguarding policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum qualification of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching drama or theatre studies at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred

  • Experience with Cambridge iGCSE, A-Level, or IB curricula.
  • Experience in curriculum development and collaboration with teaching teams.
  • Knowledge of drama pedagogy and performance techniques.
  • Experience with safeguarding and student welfare policies.
