The Opportunity:
As the Head of HR and Professional Development, you will lead efforts to drive staff excellence, ensure compliance with international standards, and support a culture of continuous learning and improvement across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee recruitment, workforce planning, and onboarding processes
- Implement and monitor performance management and appraisal systems
- Design and coordinate professional development programs for all staff
- Conduct and contribute to lesson observations to ensure teaching quality
- Ensure compliance with BSO standards and Romanian labour legislation
- Prepare documentation for inspections and accreditation visits
- Analyse stakeholder feedback to support school improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven senior leadership experience in a school (SLT level preferred)
- Strong understanding of performance management, appraisal, and CPD in an international context
- Knowledge of BSO standards and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in lesson observation and school improvement planning
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- A relevant degree (teaching qualification an advantage)
- Fluent English
- A current enhanced police check

- Familiarity with international accreditation processes
- Strong IT and organisational skills
