Key Responsibilities:
- Support EAL students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving sustained progress.
- Collaborate with the Inclusion Team and SENCO to develop and implement effective support strategies.
- Provide tailored assistance to students who are excluded from, or not working to a normal timetable.
- Work closely with teaching staff to enhance classroom inclusivity and student engagement.
- Contribute to the development of resources and strategies that support EAL learners.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as an EAL HLTA.
- Strong understanding of EAL support strategies and inclusive education practices.
- Ability to work effectively within an Inclusion Faculty and across the school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student progress and achievement.
Preferred
- Experience working with students who have special educational needs.
- Knowledge of current educational policies and practices related to EAL.
- Ability to contribute to professional development and curriculum enhancement.
- Experience in a similar role within a comprehensive school setting.
