The Opportunity:

Join a school dedicated to supporting EAL students by providing targeted assistance and fostering inclusive learning environments. As an EAL Lead HLTA, you will play a key role in addressing barriers to learning and promoting academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support EAL students in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving sustained progress.
  • Collaborate with the Inclusion Team and SENCO to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Provide tailored assistance to students who are excluded from, or not working to a normal timetable.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to enhance classroom inclusivity and student engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of resources and strategies that support EAL learners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support interventions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as an EAL HLTA.
  • Strong understanding of EAL support strategies and inclusive education practices.
  • Ability to work effectively within an Inclusion Faculty and across the school.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student progress and achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students who have special educational needs.
  • Knowledge of current educational policies and practices related to EAL.
  • Ability to contribute to professional development and curriculum enhancement.
  • Experience in a similar role within a comprehensive school setting.
