The Opportunity:
As a Teacher - Special Educational Needs, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored education to pupils with autism, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a class team of 6-10 pupils with autism
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Collaborate with support staff and parents to ensure student progress
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly
- Participate in team meetings and curriculum planning
- Support pupils in developing social, emotional and academic skills
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a valid teaching qualification
- Strong interest in Special Educational Needs
- Ability to work within a team and support pupils with autism
- Commitment to inclusive education and student well-being
Preferred
- Experience working with pupils on the autism spectrum
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies
- Experience in a special educational needs setting
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
