The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English language and literature lessons to High/Secondary School students.
  • Design and implement creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, and the creation of an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student progress and enhance teaching practices.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning experience.
  • Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and continuous professional development within the school.
  • Support the school’s mission by fostering student curiosity, creativity, and resilience.
  • Participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that enhance student engagement and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in an international school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of international curricula relevant to secondary education.
  • Excellent spoken and written command of the English language.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
  • Strong classroom management and student motivation skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with IGCSE, A Levels, or the IB Diploma curriculum.
  • Background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL).
  • Experience in a boarding school or co-educational environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in student wellbeing and character development.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with parents and colleagues.
