The Opportunity:

As a University Guidance Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students through their university application journey, helping them navigate global admissions and make informed decisions about their future. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive guidance on university selection, application processes, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Collaborate with students, parents, and faculty to develop personalized university application strategies.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of international university admissions procedures across multiple countries.
  • Offer expert advice tailored to individual student strengths, aspirations, and academic profiles.
  • Manage multiple student cases simultaneously with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Support students in career planning and long-term educational goals.
  • Foster a student-centered approach that promotes confidence, independence, and academic success.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all student interactions and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in college counselling or related roles within an international curriculum setting.
  • In-depth understanding of global university admissions procedures, including UK, US, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Asia.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Proactive approach towards continuous professional development in the field of college counselling.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and holistic development.
  • Familiarity with the British curriculum and IGCSE/A-level/IB pathways.
