The Opportunity:
We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join our dynamic department and contribute to the continued success of our students. This role offers the chance to teach across KS3 to KS5 and make a meaningful impact in a school that values innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Inspire and motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance teaching and learning strategies.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusive education and student success.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the school’s wider community and extra-curricular activities.
- Stay up to date with current educational research and best practices in teaching English.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching English.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Experience in teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
- Previous experience in initial teacher training or working with ECTs.
- Familiarity with the Brain, Emotion, Motivation teaching philosophy.
