The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of students at the High/Secondary School level. You will deliver engaging IB DP English courses that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and a deep appreciation for literature and language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality IB DP English courses that align with curriculum standards
  • Foster a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and student engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support student learning and professional development
  • Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments
  • Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and student support initiatives
  • Stay current with educational research and best practices in teaching and learning
  • Support the school’s mission of developing globally minded, well-rounded students
  • Provide individualized feedback to students to support their academic and personal growth

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and teaching certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the High/Secondary School level
  • Strong knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and its pedagogical principles
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students in the study of English and Literature

Preferred

  • Experience teaching in an international school environment
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum
  • Strong experience in developing and delivering innovative lesson plans
  • Experience with technology integration in the classroom
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus
