The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum, focusing on literacy, reading comprehension, and creative writing.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic development.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for the English language.
  • Collaborate with the Primary Department to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded educational experience.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students within the Primary phase.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking and communication skills through interactive and engaging teaching methods.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to enhance teaching practices.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents and colleagues to ensure student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong command of the English language (native or near-native level) with excellent communication skills.
  • Teaching qualification or a degree in English or Education.
  • Solid understanding of Primary teaching methodologies and classroom management.
  • Experience in teaching the British National Curriculum or in an international school setting.

Preferred

  • Previous experience teaching young learners in a primary school environment.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and curricula.
