Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English instruction across language and literature, and language acquisition curricula.
  • Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that promote student learning and achievement.
  • Contribute to the broader learning community by participating in co-curricular activities, student mentoring, and boarding house care.
  • Support students in a 24/7 boarding school environment, including some evening and weekend commitments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s academic standards and values.
  • Stay current with best practices in English education and integrate them into classroom instruction.
  • Provide individualized support to students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in English education at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to contribute to the full range of school activities, including co-curricular and boarding responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at IB Diploma level or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme.
  • Experience working in a boarding school or international school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage students in creative and critical thinking.
