Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English instruction across language and literature, and language acquisition curricula.
- Develop and implement engaging, innovative teaching strategies that promote student learning and achievement.
- Contribute to the broader learning community by participating in co-curricular activities, student mentoring, and boarding house care.
- Support students in a 24/7 boarding school environment, including some evening and weekend commitments.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school’s academic standards and values.
- Stay current with best practices in English education and integrate them into classroom instruction.
- Provide individualized support to students to help them reach their full potential.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in English education at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and academic excellence.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to contribute to the full range of school activities, including co-curricular and boarding responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience teaching at IB Diploma level or equivalent.
- Familiarity with the IB Middle Years Programme.
- Experience working in a boarding school or international school setting.
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in creative and critical thinking.
