The Opportunity:
As an ESS and Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons within the IB DP curriculum. This is a unique opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a school that values excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach high school ESS and Science courses as part of the IB Diploma Programme, ensuring engaging and well-structured lessons.
- Deliver lessons in IGCSE and/or MYP, adapting to the needs of diverse learners.
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with the IB DP curriculum that promote critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning needs of all students.
- Encourage a growth mindset and develop students’ passion for ESS and Science.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to share best practices and resources.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Teaching certification, with preference given to those with IB DP ESS and Science teaching experience.
- Proven experience teaching IB DP (Higher Level and Standard Level) or equivalent in international education.
- Familiarity with IGCSE and MYP curricula is an advantage.
Preferred
- Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and assessment in the IB system.
- Experience with international education and multicultural environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
