The Opportunity:
As a Middle School Art Teacher, you will inspire creativity and develop students’ artistic skills within a dynamic international setting. You will play a key role in preparing students for IGCSE Art pathways and fostering a love of visual arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Art lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and British educational framework.
- Develop students’ technical and expressive skills through structured and differentiated teaching.
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and individual artistic expression.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages experimentation.
- Assess and monitor student progress to ensure high standards of attainment.
- Prepare students effectively for progression into IGCSE Art pathways.
- Organise and contribute to exhibitions and events that celebrate student work.
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and curriculum development.
- Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a closely related field.
- PGCE or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Art at secondary or upper primary level (ages 11–14).
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Native-level or near-native proficiency in English, with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience within the British curriculum.
- Experience in an international or multilingual school setting.
- Familiarity with IGCSE Art & Design.
