The Opportunity:

As an Events Assistant, you will support the delivery and promotion of events and hospitality services across multiple sites. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and driven by a passion for creating exceptional experiences. You will contribute to a team focused on operational excellence and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery and promotion of events and hospitality services across multiple sites.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of Queenie’s Coffee Shop and The Hub.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a high standard of service and customer experience.
  • Manage event logistics and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives and improvements to existing services.
  • Assist with evening and weekend work as required to meet the needs of the business.
  • Support initiatives across the wider school group, including occasional work at other sites.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare standards in all operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in hospitality or events management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proactive and commercially minded approach.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Familiarity with event planning and hospitality operations.
  • Experience with using event management software or systems.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a hospitality environment.
