The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of examinations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a secure and respectful exam environment will directly impact student outcomes and uphold the integrity of the assessment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and manage examination seating plans in line with school procedures
  • Distribute and collect examination materials securely and efficiently
  • Read out instructions clearly to ensure all candidates understand the requirements
  • Accurately record start and finish times for each examination session
  • Maintain and complete student attendance registers for each exam
  • Ensure all candidates adhere to examination rules and procedures
  • Support the examinations officer in the administration of exams
  • Assist in the creation and management of examination schedules

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
  • Excellent punctuality and reliability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience in an educational setting or similar role is preferred

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an exam invigilation or administrative role
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Experience with exam administration software or systems
  • Flexibility to work on a casual basis, including evenings and weekends
