The Opportunity:

We are seeking an English and Creative Arts Teacher to join a passionate and driven team. This role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a school on a mission to raise standards and deliver outstanding education. The successful candidate will also teach Creative Media at KS4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English and Creative Media lessons to students across key stages.
  • Develop and implement a knowledge-rich curriculum aligned with the Principles of Instruction.
  • Support student progress through differentiated teaching and formative assessment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to staff training and development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.
  • Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events that enhance student engagement and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level.
  • Experience in delivering Creative Media at KS4.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum design and pedagogical best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in a research-based or knowledge-rich curriculum environment.
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and staff training.
  • Experience in a school with a strong focus on student equity and inclusion.
  • Experience in a school with a 'no child left behind' ethos.
