The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in maintaining a calm, secure and well-organised exam environment. Your work will directly support students as they complete their assessments, ensuring fairness and compliance with regulations. This is a key role in helping students achieve their best during crucial academic periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow JCQ regulations and school procedures to ensure exams run smoothly, fairly and securely.
  • Set up exam rooms, check materials and oversee candidate conduct with attention to detail.
  • Communicate clearly and supportively with students, staff and colleagues.
  • Remain composed and solutions-focused during busy exam periods.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to build positive relationships across the Academy.
  • Uphold confidentiality, integrity and professionalism at all times.
  • Support the Exams Manager and wider team to maintain high standards throughout the examination process.
  • Ensure all exam-related documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage exam environments confidently.
  • Experience in following procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an exam-related role or within education.
  • Knowledge of JCQ or similar examination regulations.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work during exam periods, including evenings and weekends.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.85 per hour.
